Using smoke for rituals is something all cultures across the world have in common. Either to get closer to Spirit, cleanse negative energy or provide blessings. Some of the most ancient human records reference smoke cleansing and ritual. No matter where you’re from or how you grew up, it’s deeply entwined in your ancestry.
Spring is an exciting time of year. Trees and gardens sprout new growth. Students catch spring fever and play hooky. The rest of us go into a frenzy of spring cleaning. Like our parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents before us, we clear out closets, pack winter clothes away, clean windows and contemplate the garage.
When the calendar flips, it’s time. If you’re unattached romantically, it’s time to open to a new love. Unfortunately, that’s hard to do if you’re obsessing over a former flame.
All progress and growth stop when we cannot forgive. Our bodies, minds, and spirits come to a standstill - cycling through passed events over and over with no solution. This is a touchy subject and is much easier said than done. The traumas people have endured, especially over the last year, must not be belittled, but validated, processed, and released.
We all want to be happy. In fact, happiness is our true nature. Happiness is a constant, like Primordial Energy. It is always there, like the sun, which is always shining. Sometimes clouds block the view, but when the wind blows or the heat of the sun’s rays dissolves the obstruction, we see and feel its light shining once again.
Our entire lives, we’ve relied on these sources to gauge morality & social cues. However, one thing always stood firm and clear: our PERSONAL normal should not be held to the standards of another person’s normal without educated critical thinking, research, and honest self-expression.
Are you feeling anxious? Do you feel harassed by the voices in your head? Can you imagine what you would feel like if they were silenced? I don’t want you to feel like there is something wrong with you— we all experience this.
