Onion and Apple Tea

Hear me out! This recipe was taught to me by an old friend who knew the secret about onions – they are immune-boosting powerhouses. Fragrant immune-boosing aromatics really pull this tea together. 

Ingredients

1 red onion

1 apple

2-3 inches of ginger

i tbsp cinnamon

1 tsp cloves

Orange peel (make sure it is organic)

Instructions

Chop the red onion and apple into quarters and grate the ginger.

Add 8.5 cups of water to an accommodating pot. Add all ingredients.

Bring everything to a slow boil for about 15 minutes.

Reduce to a simmer for another 15-20 minutes. The apples should turn brown and sink.

Serve, with lemon and honey optional.
