These fritters are delicious and full of fiber and nutrients. The cumin gives them a nice little kick!
Ingredients
1 15-ounce canned chickpeas rinsed, drained
¼ cup all purpose flour
¼ cup grated or shredded parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1 teaspoon cumin
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons canola oil
Tahini sauce
Instructions
Combine the chickpeas, all purpose flour, parmesan cheese, herbs, cumin, garlic powder, salt and pepper in a bowl. Add two tablespoons of water and mash with a fork ingredients until well blended.
Form into thin patties.
Heat the oil in a large pan, and add the chickpea fritters. Cook until browned and fully cooked through, about 3 minutes per side.
Drain on a plate lined with paper towels.
Serve with Tahini sauce, or any other desired sauce.
