Welcome to The New Age

Part I:  The Here and Now

“You cannot beat a river into submission.

You must surrender to its current and use its power as your own.”

(The Ancient One, Doctor Strange, 2016)

First off, my prayer is that this finds you in good health and living life a bit more consciously than you were PC (pre-coronavirus).  In these strange, trying, and chaotic times, it is important to remember that, as a Humanity, we have been through worse and survived.  There will be an “AC”, although we have yet to understand what that will look like.  The “new normal” is currently being defined in a process that is sure to continue for quite some time.  Challenging as it is, this process is necessary and will ultimately prove to be beneficial for Humanity.   In the words of John Lennon, “Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end.”

Throughout history, there have been many periods of time, which, when seen in retrospect, produced “quantum leaps” in consciousness for all of Humanity.  Human evolution has been engaged in an accelerated growth spurt since the discovery of Uranus in the late 1700’s, which I believe is when we began “cusping” the New Age.  Consider that we went from driving horse drawn carriages to landing on the moon in a span of less than 70 years.  Since the late 1700’s, scientific and technological advances have forced us to rapidly alter our perspectives and adapt our worldviews again and again.  As of today, “running to catch up” has become the norm.  In some areas, like technology and scientific advancement, we’ve managed to keep up.  In others, like social/political reform, humanitarian consideration, and concern for the health and wellbeing of this beautiful planet, we’ve fallen short, to say the least.  The collective change and transformation required to shift ages takes generations, and unfortunately, a whole lot of global trauma to achieve.

This year marks a “quantum leap” toward a completely new perspective currently in the process of being defined.  The events and circumstances of quantum leap years are meant to produce life-altering change that sweep through the collective consciousness and produce changes to global perspective, affecting all members of Humanity at the same time.  One need only consider how this year began, with the fires of Australia, the earthquakes of Puerto Rico, the plague of locusts that swept the Middle East, etc.  Most recently we find ourselves in the throes of a global pandemic and a long overdo social revolution, the purpose of which is to examine, and ultimately heal, systemic injustice at its core.  Every few weeks we are confronted with a new crisis, having not yet had time to recover from the last.   Quantum Leap events are always cataclysmic in nature, unpredictable, and intensely dramatic.  The purpose of quantum leap years is to raise the vibration of not only Humanity, but of the planet.  All life supported by the planet must adapt to this higher vibration, or choose to go the way of the dinosaur.   The quantum leap process is amoral in nature, neither good nor bad.  It is an energetic reality to which we must respond.  It is The Goddess of Necessity at work, full throttle.

Over the past several decades, we have been experiencing a convergence of major energetic realignments, which are clearly described by prophecy (i.e. Harmonic Convergence of 1987 and the end of the Mayan Calendar, the Hopi’s appearance of The Blue Kachina, the biblical Book of Revelations, just to name a few), unprecedented cosmic events (i.e. the gravitational wave from Cignus X1 which swept over the Earth in 2015, the Galactic Center alignment of 2012, etc.), and the precession of the equinox moving us from one age (Pisces) to the next (Aquarius), an event that only occurs every 2000+ years.  Energetically speaking, we are at a point of “critical mass”, past the point of resetting bones and bandaging wounds in the hope of “fixing” the problems, moving ever closer to the choice to amputate the diseased limbs or just calling the code on our failing systems.  We cannot possibly stop, or even abate, the wave of an unpredictable cosmic tidal force sweeping over us at this time.  And, unpopular as it may be to say, it is far from over.  We still have much to accomplish as a Humanity, and the events and experiences of this year will continue to drive us toward “the new perspective” required of and defined by the Aquarian Age.  As each collective shock shakes us a little more free of an “old age” practice, perspective, or belief, we will ultimately achieve a new way of thinking and being in the world.  I believe that the Jupiter/Saturn conjunction at zero degrees of Aquarius, happening in December 2020, marks a critical point in this process, and foresee little relief at least until after that time.

“Sometimes before we can usher in the new,

The old must be put to rest.”

(From Game of Thrones, Season 6, Episode 10)

To add to the challenge of the day, the accelerated encroachment of a “new world perspective” is accompanied by the intense need to release and let go of the past, in spite of not knowing what the future holds in store.   To quote from the handout provided at the “Transits of 2020” workshop from January of this year:

As the Capricorn alignments intensify and gather tightly together in the third decanate of the sign, we are likely to see even more dramatic and obvious manifestations of the lessons Pluto has been teaching us since 2008, and Saturn

since December of 2017.  … [The question is], How desperate will things have to

get before we are willing to sacrifice the comfort of what has been, yet no longer works, and risk the grand experiments needed to provide our saving grace?

On the personal, social, and global/collective levels, those “lessons” continue to involve the testing of existing structures and systems we have created and use to support our Earth Walk (Saturn), and the transformation (death and rebirth) of those systems that no longer work (Pluto).  Virtually every social/political system has come under scrutiny over the past two decades, the failures and vulnerabilities exposed, and the need for transformation intensified.  The seven-year hiatus of Uranus in Taurus certainly adds a level of unpredictability and suddenness to the mix and places more emphasis on the systems of Mother Earth, herself. We can expect sudden and unexpected Earth changes to continue, forcing Humanity to rally and unite in unprecedented ways during already chaotic times.  We can expect continuous shifts in the way we define/think about resources – what they are, how they are dispersed, and the wisdom with which we use them. Like health care, economic, educational, technological, and political systems, we will soon learn if our technological systems can withstand the burden of the next new crisis.

Another aspect of Capricorn and its ruler, Saturn, relates to the concept of Karma.  Saturn is, in fact, called “The Lord of Karma” for a reason.  This is especially true for The United States, which has Pluto in Capricorn, and is experiencing its first Pluto return (coincidentally joined by Saturn) since its birth in 1776.   Following the tragic death of George Floyd, a new level of discussion is emerging worldwide regarding systemic inequalities within our social/political systems.  The collective resonance with this new movement speaks to the importance of addressing the less blatant, more insidious levels of “disease” that infects us at the core, and keeps us from truly achieving and living the “American Ideal” of which we are so proud.  We take great pride in being a nation built on democratic principles of freedom and equality, and one that defends individual rights and condemns those who do not.  I am sadly reminded of the many atrocities upon which the United States was built.  These include: The decimation, if not genocide, of Native American Tribes; The institution of slavery and legalization of racism that followed its end; The rape of the natural world in the name of progress; The legalization of abuse and denial of basic human rights to women and children until recently; The justification of internment camps for American citizens during World War II; The first (and only) nation to actually use a weapon of mass destruction, and the list goes on.  As we take stock of who we are as a nation, it’s extremely important to be honest about what we discover when we lift and look beneath the rocks of history, written, for the most part, by those who have benefited from the choices made.  Karma can be a real “bitch”.   The more willing we are as a nation to own our mistakes, and take action to change the systems we’ve allowed to bury them, the more likely we are to reduce the negative ramifications of “Karmic reckoning” upon us at this time.  To be clear, I love this country and there is no place I’d rather call home.   It is because I love this country that I can no longer turn a blind eye when its most sacred principles are ignored and defiled.

Scorpionic/Plutonian transformation requires confrontation with mortality.  As the Black Death raged across the known world in the mid-1300’s, killing 75% of the population of the known world, I am sure that most of Humanity believed it to be the end of the world.  And so it was the end of the world, as they knew it.  Little could they foresee that it was to pave the way for the Humanistic Movement and the creative flourishing of The Renaissance that  followed.  I watch for signs of the new perspective now emerging, the new principles now taking hold of the collective, the new reality now forming, and the new way of being now required in order to lift Humanity and the planet to successfully reverberate with this higher vibration taking hold.  Over the next few months, I will explore what I have come to know in a series of writings titled, “Welcome to the New Age”.  As always, I look for the lessons and opportunities to grow through whatever experience the Universe throws our way.  As of today, here are some suggestions to help you navigate these next 6 months….

PRACTICE CONSCIOUSNESS WITHOUT FEAR, RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS WITHOUT SACRIFICE, DILIGENCE WITH YOUR OWN HEALTH AND WELL-BEING WITHOUT OBSESSION, PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY WITHOUT PAIN, AND LOVE WITHOUT STRINGS.

Add to your “to do” list:

  1. PAY HOMAGE TO MOTHER EARTH as often as you can, in whatever ways you can.
  • CONSCIOUSLY ELEVATE AWARENESS AND PRACTICE OF THE POSITIVE SIDE OF FEMININE POWER & THE DIVINE FEMININE:  Endurance, Acceptance, Emotional honesty, graceful vulnerability, The ability to adapt & adjust as reality dictates, The willingness to nurture & protect those in need, Collaboration & cooperation with others, and the ability to forgive & release the past.
  • CLEAN HOUSE BOTH PHYSICALLY AND PSYCHICALLY (and repeat as needed!)

As we move through these next few months in true Aquarian style, together in our separateness, may your journey be gentle and may the Force be with you and within you…

Love & Light,

Kim
