Turmeric Lemonade

Turmeric Lemonade

Turmeric is one of the kings of an anti-inflammatory diet, however it also works hard for brain health and fighting against Dementia and Alzheimer’s.

Ingredients

4 lemons

6-7 cups fresh water

1.5 inch fresh turmeric root, or 2 tsb of turmeric powder

1 inch ginger root

10-12 peppercorns

1/4 cup organic sweetener

Instructions

Peel the lemons and slice, carefully removing all seeds. Peel the turmeric and the ginger.

Add all of the ingredients plus the peppercorns and sweetener to a high powered blender. Blend until all ingredients are combined. 

Taste and adjust for sweetness, and serve chilled over ice

Notes:

The peppercorns act to help the body absorb the turmeric.
