As we get into Spring, this bright and delicious salad is incredibly easy and fresh. The flavors of tomato and basil are simply meant to go together!
Ingredients:
1 large tomato
1 ball of fresh mozzarella
1 bunch fresh basil leaves
Olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: Capers and balsamic vinegar
Instructions:
Slice the tomato and mozzarella into desired thickness. Arrange on plates, stacked. Sprinkle with fresh basil leaves, salt, pepper, and drizzle the olive oil.
Also sprinkle the optional capers and drizzle the balsamic vinegar.
Enjoy!
Notes:
Adjust recipe for amounts needed.
Basil leaves can be used whole or chopped.
Serve more as a main, or less as a side.
