Eating seasonally ensures you are consuming the freshest food possible. There is such a thing called “food miles”, which pertains to the amount of time a fruit or vegetable has travelled during a time it is not in season to get to the store it is sold in. With seasonal eating, most likely the food miles on the in-season food are much, much slimmer, giving us the freshness and health benefits we desire!

Seasonal eating also lets us be creative with food. In order to avoid “burnout” on the same foods each season, we can learn how people all over the world utilize the ingredients. There are so many recipes out there to learn!
