Shifting from Stress to Sacredness

Shifting from Stress

With the holidays in full swing, when we should be getting ready for jolly and cheer, many are suffering from isolation, loss of a job, or a loved one.

We ask ourselves, “When is it going to be over? When will life be normal again? The pandemic brought so many drastic changes, uncertainty, desperation, and loneliness, leading us to questions, “Why there is so much suffering in the world? Why such a great separation at a time we are working so hard to get into Oneness?…”

Merciful, kind, understanding, compassionate are the words that come to mind for me when I think of the hard, turbulent times we are in.

Witnessing people facing impossible circumstances, can be a catalyst, prompting us to let go of judgement, resentment, desperation, loneliness, and fear and replace it with Compassion and Faith.

Your ability to sympathize with others is the power-driven force that will be the catalyst in shifting the Consciousness of the planet from fear and control.  When you can imagine yourself in someone else’s shoes, and see things from their perspective with compassion, you begin to see the steps you can take to fill your heart with sympathy, your spirit with strength to look into the face of pain and heartbreak and conquer it with compassion and acceptance. You’ll touch hearts as you stand tall and be the change by being the example. When you allow your sympathy to guide you, you will inspire others to take positive actions.

Five ways to shift the holidays from stress to sacredness:

1. Fill your mind with the wonders of life instead of worries.  Life is full of so many amazing and fascinating things. What you put your attention on grows. Keep your attention on what you desire instead of what you don’t have, and soon enough things will start coming your way.

December is the darkest time of year. The time the sun is the farthest from the earth. This is the time we have to create and sustain our own energy instead of the sun’s energy. The hustle and the bustle is how you keep your energy flowing. This is the main purpose of decorating, gift giving, and celebrating with family and friends.  Even the conflicts are an opportunity to bring out unconditional love.

2. Feel into the magic of shifting your thoughts. What you think, you create.

The power is within you. You can change anything and everything with your ability to change your perception. Look for the good in everything. Focus on what brings you joy.

3. Understanding – be empathetic. Feel what others are feeling. It is easier to have compassion when you allow yourself to feel what the other person is feeling. See things from both sides.

4. Gratitude – When you can be thankful for everything, you have found the key to abundance. The more you can be grateful for the little things, the happier you will be. What you give thanks for, you own.

5. Happiness is a choice.  People can spend their life fighting to be right, for example, or they can simply let it go and be happy.

Make the ordinary extraordinary.  Bring color and joy into your life. Shift from routines to rituals. Do what you love and love what you do. Share the joy, bring out the happiness in your heart and let life unfold in flying colors.

Happiness Holiday Hints

1. Play holiday music.

2. Create new traditions to replace the ones that don’t or won’t work right now.

3. Go out in nature and collect things to decorate your house.

4. Revisit the reason for the season.

5. Make gifts and share the joy.

6. Leave Secret Santa gifts for coworkers or neighbors but don’t let them know where they came from.

Growing up poor, my fondest memories were making gifts out of whatever we had in the house and singing Christmas carols for people who were shut in.

Never forget that unconditional love is always free, and there is always someone who could use a new friend. Step out and share the love.
