The Chinese New Year ushers in a new cycle each year on the day following the New Moon of Aquarius. This year, on February 16, 2026, the Year of the Fire Horse begins. For the sake of comparison, previous Horse years occurred in 2014, 2002, 1990, 1978, 1966 (the last Fire Horse), 1954, 1942, 1930, and 1918.

The month of April, especially the first half, is extremely eventful and unprecedented period from the planetary alignments standpoint. During the first ten days of the month, the slow moving outer planets: Neptune, Saturn, the north lunar node Rahu and two inner retrograde planets: Mercury and Venus come together with in three degrees in sidereal Pisces.

The month of March begins with Venus turning retrograde on March 2. In general, a retrograde Venus signifies a challenging phase for women, relationships, marriages, home life, lovers, and the entertainment industry. Expect an increase in divorce rates, intensified conflicts between spouses, and heightened delays, frustrations, and misunderstandings in domestic matters.

From March 1 through April 12, 2025, the planet Venus travels in retrograde motion, affording us the opportunity to review, re-evaluate, redefine and “upgrade” our value systems. Venus is the character within (internal psychic construct) that defines that which we value, and therefore seek to attract into our lives. The events of February are likely to be dominated by the energy of the Neptune-Rahu conjunction. This challenging aspect often creates instability and sudden changes for individuals with this alignment in their natal charts, manifesting as frustrating and unfortunate experiences.
