Herbal Heartburn Relief Tea

With the holidays approaching, richer foods can cause uncomfortable indigestion and other symptoms. Use this light and delicious herbal tea to ease the pain naturally!

Ingredients

3 slices of fresh ginger root, about the size of a quarter

4 tablespoons of chamomile flowers in a tea ball, or one chamomile teabag

1-2 tablespoons honey, raw if possible

12 ounces of water

Instructions

Slice 3 quarter sized pieces of ginger root. 

Simmer in 12 oz of water for 30 minutes. Be sure to keep the pot covered.

Remove the ginger pieces. Pour the liquid into a large mug with the chamomile and let steep for 5 minutes. After the tea has cooled, add the honey to taste.

Drink the tea 15 minutes before eating a meal. You can also drink it after a meal if you feel indigestion coming on.
