As we enter August, the month begins with the powerful energy of the explosive Uranus, Rahu (north lunar node) and Mars conjunction within a degree in sidereal fire sign Aries.
While the energy of this powerful conjunction lasts for about a week, it will certainly be reflected in extremely tumultuous period for the United States and Briton. Rahu’s karmic energy will certainly be on display, and it will affect the political climate (Mars) of the United States (Uranus) in a big way as this period directly confronts with the country’s Karma (Rahu).
Furthermore, the Saturn’s return to the sidereal Capricorn on July 14, joining Pluto will not let up the destructive and fearful period, war like atmosphere, future uncertainties, senseless killing and chaotic situations all around the world, especially in the United States and Ukraine. The uncertainties and anxieties will clearly be reflected in the volatile world of financial markets.
The stationery Jupiter, which just turned retrograde on July 29, will join the already retrograde planets Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto. These retrograde planets represent the long term (at least 3 to 4 months) slowdown of global activities, especially that of material expansion. Combined that with Saturn-Pluto conjunction in the sidereal Capricorn being responsible for material destruction and loss of life with the deadly conjunction of Rahu-Uranus in the sidereal Aries. It paints a very challenging next three to four months. Some of the events reflecting this painful period include political turmoil in Great Britain, ongoing atrocious Ukraine-Russia war, economic slowdown, surge in Omicron sub-variant infections, political uncertainties (especially in the United States and some parts of the western Europe), unpredictable weather, and violence.
However, the slow-moving retrograde planets offer a tremendous opportunity for self-reflection paving the path for both the personal and collective spiritual growth.
The Pisces Jupiter and Neptune will continue to feed the energy humanity needs to overcome the challenging period.
Unprecedented Political Turmoil, Violence, and Social Unrest in the USA (June 21 – Sept 20)
The Cosmos is giving the country a very challenging period as three major malefics are coming together in the fire sign Aries, and Rahu’s karmic energy will be on a massive display. (The north lunar node, Rahu, conjuncts Uranus in sidereal Aries within 3 degrees during June 21 – Sept 20, and within 1 degree during July 13 – Aug 9. Mars entered sidereal Aries on June 27. This combination will certainly affect the political climate (Mars) of the United States (Uranus) in a big way as this period directly confronts with the country’s Karma (Rahu).
The political turmoil and social unrest in the United States (due to the overturning of the Roe vs Wade, Jan. 6 hearings), natural and man-made calamities including west coast wildfires. For the United States in general, for President Biden, democrats and the Democratic Party in particular, this period may continue prove to be extremely difficult.
But, the silver lining of this planetary event is the process of much needed transformation which will lead to breaking this cycle of this frustrating and agonizing period.
Saturn’s return to sidereal Capricorn (July 14 – April 15, 2023)
On July 14, Saturn with its retrograde motion returned to sidereal Capricorn, and it will stay in Capricorn until April 15, 2023.
Capricorn being the earth and cardinal sign, Saturn’s energy has strongly been reflected in the volatility and changes in the world financial markets, especially the energy (oil) markets, economy, and material expansion/contraction. Entrepreneurs, business leaders, politicians, philanthropists, philosophers, scientists, reformers and to some extent monks will shape the future of the world. Those who have Saturn in Capricorn in their natal charts will be experiencing Saturn’s energy as their lives transformed to a new settings due to a drastic change (mostly) at material and psychological levels. In my opinion, despite a painful period of frustration due to unexpected drastic changes in life, it’s going to be an exciting period for those who have dominant Saturn in their birth chart and have Pisces, Aries, Leo, and Scorpio as their natal ninefold (Navamansha) ascendant.

Is Russian-Ukraine war and senseless killing going away?
As we have been witnessing, the war between Ukraine and Russia grinds on all through July and will continue. It will get significantly accelerated in the first half of August as the bombings of civilian areas in Ukraine continue due to the manifestations of energies of Uranus-Rahu conjunction (within 3 degrees) in the sidereal Aries, and the same time Mar’s entry in Aries. As stated in my previous months forecasts, until Saturn completely returns to Aquarius (April 2023), the Ukraine war is not likely to go away and will continue its course devastating and destabilizing Ukraine and the region.
Is Authoritarianism on its way out?
One of the extraordinary planetary events of 2022 has been the transit of the modern planet Neptune from the sidereal zodiac sign Aquarius to the next zodiac sign Pisces. Although it is going to be in Pisces for only about 5 months in 2022, Neptune being the spiritual planets of our solar system that deal more with heart than mind, it will certainly affect the matters related to Pisces in a significant way.
These transformations will be reflected in the new norms of morality and ethics, expansion of our collective psychic abilities and mystical experiences keeping in line with steady progress in our ability to directly perceive truth. On the downside, the religious leaders and social reformers may tend to form cults and spread cult like activities, rise in organized religion scandals, deceptive activities under the disguise of promise of spiritual experiences are likely to be on rise in certain parts of the world. The scandals of the secretive collaboration between the medical doctors and pharmaceutical industries will be exposed. The increase usage of mind altering drugs, disregard for social and to some extent moral responsibility, rise in mental disorders, and losing the touch with reality are some of the likely symptoms of the negative side of Neptune.
The influence of the Neptunian energy will be reflected in profound changes that are likely to occur in authoritarian countries like Russia and China in next 14 years. The authoritarianism will be challenged and people in power of authority are likely to lose their power in coming years. In addition, the organized religions will likely to be come under tremendous pressure to abandon their norms that have been the hindrances in transforming our humanity to universal love.
