There are plenty of ways to stimulate the vagus nerve absolutely naturally and all are very enjoyable. So, this month challenge is not really a challenge, but an invitation to bring more joy to our lives.
Relaxation techniques such as breathing exercises and yoga stimulate vagus nerve activity, increasing its ability to relieve anxiety and mood-related symptoms. Other ways to naturally stimulate the vagus nerve include:
• singing
• OM or mantra chanting
• meditating
• showering with cold water
• applying ice water to the face
• laughing
